I'm Aylín A. Contreras, the 21st CCLC Site Coordinator at Berney Elementary School. In my fourth year, I'm passionate about creating enriching programs for students, offering unique learning experiences beyond the regular classroom. A Walla Walla native and product of Walla Walla Public Schools, I earned my Associate of Arts at Walla Walla Community College and my Bachelor's Degree in Spanish at Eastern Washington University. I'm committed to providing high-quality, free enrichment programs while fostering a safe and welcoming learning environment for all students.
Program Overview:
The Berney 21st CCLC After School Program provides a secure environment for students to delve into diverse skills and subjects not covered in their regular classroom curriculum. Focused on fostering confidence, resilience, and leadership qualities, the program empowers students to cultivate the skills necessary for a promising future.

Grow Lab
This year, we Partnered up with Farm to Schools to bring a gardening program where students get to work on projects that help towards growing our Berney Garden.
Movie Making
Students have the chance to dive into the exciting world of filmmaking. They’ll collaborate as a film crew, from brainstorming scripts to directing, acting, recording, and editing their own movie. This hands-on experience allows them to unleash their creativity and teamwork skills.
GEOGRAPHY
Students get the opportunity to learn about different countries around the world, highlighting their customs and traditions. Students work together on projects that allow them to experience the culture of the country they are learning about.
Arts & Crafts
Arts and crafts provide students with a wonderful opportunity to express themselves creatively. From paintings to pottery, they will explore various mediums and discover new ways to unleash their imagination
